happy easter!

image by hillsong united found here
happy easter! today i'm choosing to remember what Jesus did on the cross so many years ago. it really is the most important part. not only did He die for us, but He conquered death and rose again! He did what He said He would do. He wasn't a liar. He was and is our Savior. i'm very thankful for this and i'm praying this morning that since more people will be going to churches today that they would hear the gospel message and respond to it and want a personal relationship with God. and i'm praying that you all have a sweet day with family and friends! i'll be eating so many delicious foods at my aunts house with my family. i can already feel the food coma coming on (as well as like five pounds i'm going to gain from eating so much). it's so worth it though.

funeral.

this is from a month ago, but whatever. at least i'm sharing some of the photos! my grandma's brother passed away last month and we attended his funeral out in riverside. it was really unexpected when he passed and my grandma was pretty upset about it. just makes me realize how quickly life passes and how fast it goes by. it was really sweet seeing my grandma and all her sisters there together. it was also nice seeing my mom's side of the family since that doesn't happen ever.

my grandpa, great-grandpa, and great-grandma are all buried at the funeral site. so we got to visit their graves while we were there. i had never been before, and it was really nice to be able to see what was written about them. and i absolutely love the photos i got of my family while there.

afterwards, we went to downtown riverside and walked around looking at the christmas lights. we were going to have dinner at a mexican restaurant there, but the wait was four hours. hah! so, we opted out of waiting. i did manage to grab some chips that we're sitting there waiting to be brought out to all of the tables... i know, that's bad but whatever i was hungry and natalie did it too. we also got the most amazing hot apple cider donuts. oh my gosh they were so good! i could eat them everyday!

remember that time when it was thanksgiving?

so remember when it was thanksgiving a month ago? yeah, me too. my family and i went to my grandparents house in apple valley and it was a lot of fun. my cousins and i played board games and my grandma made about 193847239874 desserts. so we left about 10 pounds heavier after her house. it's so worth it though! nomnom. anyways, i was very thankful to be able to spend the day with my family. they're really weird and really funny and i love them all very much.

i hope you had a good thanksgiving with your family and friends! hopefully you posted your thanksgiving posts back in november and didn't wait til december like me! haha!

Aloha!

On Monday night my dad decided that we were going to the grand canyon and Arizona. And then somehow that turned into going to Oahu instead? So now it's Friday, we got here Thursday. Crazy! We've never done anything this spontaneous and this big before! I'll try to check back in later, since we're off to get "poopoo appetizer dessert thingies". Oh mom! Way to describe whatever it is you were trying to describe. LOL!
Lady decided to stand right behind me when I went to take a picture!

happy easter!

on the way to grandma and grandpas!

happy late easter! nat and i had a lot of fun hanging out with our family at our grandparent's house. and we definitely looked really cute that day (i stole natalie's dress again :) muahaha ). i hadn't been to sunday morning service in forever, but i finally got to go that morning! it was awesome being with my family and praising God for His Son. dude, it's so sweet that my family is saved. and that they all love jesus. it makes me happy. i really am super blessed to have such a close family. and i'm even more blessed that they all love the Lord. thank you God! :)

pastor bob said this and i really liked it: "the fact that Jesus is risen means Jesus is ruling!" woohoo!

ps. the only thing that would have made easter even better is if peeta hutcherson had made a guest appearance.

aunt janine's birthday

nina and i and a friend's wedding
it was my aunt janine's birthday this past week. i love her so stinking much. you have no idea. she's more like a friend/sister to me than an aunt. i am so thankful for her! it was her 32nd birthday ;) maybe... all she wanted to do for her big day was hang out with my family and two other families. and i am in love with these families. they feel like part of my family, not just family friends. i laugh so hard at everything whenever we all get together. oh gosh, it is just so great! i love it! all of our families became friends before any of us kids were born. they all met at our old church, calvary chapel pacific coast. God blessed my parents with awesome friends! and i am so happy that i have gotten to know them over the years as i've grown up. here are some pictures from the birthday night:

my dad's camera takes really great blurry/light crazy pictures, huh?
